We are not sure! Internet continues to generate massive amounts of information and data. An <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/business-26383058\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">IBM research<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">shows that 2.5 exabytes (that&#8217;s a whopping 2.5 billion gigabytes (GB)!) of data was generated in 2012 and this figure will get doubled by 2016. Over the last three years, two of the travel majors &#8211; Expedia Inc. and Priceline Group have been gobbling up one company after another. Earlier in 2015, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/skift.com\/2015\/02\/12\/breaking-expedia-buys-orbitz-for-1-6-billion\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">Expedia announced to buy Orbitz<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\"> for about $1.6 billion in cash following its acquisition of Travelocity. In order to gain supremacy over each other, Expedia and Priceline has spent collectively more than $7.6 billion over the last two years in various acquisitions. Regional biggies did not stay behind in the \u2018merger &amp; acquisition\u2019 spree \u2013 Chinese online travel giant <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tnooz.com\/article\/expedia-sells-stake-in-elong-to-ctrip-and-others-for-671-million\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">Ctrip acquired 62.4%<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\"> share in eLong from Expedia. However, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/news.marriott.com\/2015\/11\/marriott-international-to-acquire-starwood-hotels-resorts-worldwide-creating-the-worlds-largest-hote.html\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;\">Marriott\u2019s acquisition of Starwood Hotels &amp; Resorts Worldwide<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;\"> was perhaps the most discussed news piece, making Marriott the largest operating hotel brand worldwide.
