ATM 2025 welcomes expanded global participation

Vision Hospitality Group unveils 2025 growth plan 

 Vision Hospitality Group announced that it expects to grow in 2025, with plans to open five new hotels, break ground on four hotels, and complete renovations on four others. Venice Tourists better hurry – the city may sink by 2150 

Venice, the capital of the Veneto region in northern Italy and part of Italy’s “Tourist Trinity” alongside Rome and Florence, is built on over 150 small islands within a lagoon of the Adriatic Sea. The city has no roads and features a network of canals instead. To safeguard Venice, a specialized mobile barrier system has been created to shield the lagoon from flooding. Millions of tourists flock to Venice every year, and the city is overrun with cruise ships and their passengers. Now, the scientists say this tourist in Mecca may not be around for much longer.

Hilton expands in EMEA, reaching 1,000 hotels 

Hilton is set to mark a significant milestone in its growth, reaching 1,000 hotels across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) by this spring. The company’s expansion includes the introduction of its innovative Tempo by Hilton brand, alongside an expanded presence for Spark by Hilton in several high-demand markets. The Tempo by Hilton brand will debut in EMEA this year, with new properties scheduled to open in key cities such as Belfast, Lisbon, and Reykjavik.

India sets sights on becoming a top tourism hub by 2047 

The Tourism Sustainability Summit 2025, organized by the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) in New Delhi, witnessed insightful discussions on the future of India’s tourism sector.
