Beijing set to overtake Paris as the world’s largest tourism city destination
Research by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has revealed that within the next decade, Beijing will overtake Paris to become the world’s largest Travel & Tourism city destination. WTTC studied the impact of the Travel & Tourism sector in four major cities across China; Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Shanghai and found a mixed picture across the four city destinations.

Hyatt signs agreement with three new hotels in Madinah
Regional chiefs recently signed a deal for three hotels and a combined 1,729 keys in the Saudi city of Madinah, set to form part of the wider Rua Al Madinah master development. Hyatt Place Madinah will feature 860 guestrooms, a large dining restaurant, an event space and a fitness centre.

Hampton Inn and Suites Austin Lakeway, TX ready for sale
CBRE Hotels is soliciting offers to acquire the fee-simple interest in the Hampton Inn & Suites in Austin-Lakeway, Texas. Due to the lack of sewage capacity and strong environmental regulations in the hill country, Lakeway is an extremely high barrier to entry market. There are no hotels coming to Lakeway for the foreseeable future.

El Al announced flights between Tel Aviv and Fort Lauderdale
EL AL Israel Airlines, which recently relocated its regional headquarters for North America to Margate, Florida is proud to announce that it is continuing to expand its activity in South Florida. The new non-stop flights will operate on selected days of the week to accommodate the Jewish High Holidays through October.
